  • A 100kW turboprop using the principal of recovering energy contained in the exhaust gases. Light and compact, reliable and vibration free, the TP-R90 offers all the advantages of a gas turbine and combines them with a very low fuel consumption.

RELIABILITY & COST MANAGEMENT

  • In direct lineage with its jumbo-jet cousins, Turbotech turbine engines have a notably higher reliability (MTBF) and lifetime (TBO) than its piston counterparts. Turbotech is setting a new standard in light aviation reliability and longevity.

The Turbogenerator is an onboard electrical genset and is a powerful enabler for electrical propulsion architectures. Turbotech develops 2 power class of turbogenerator: 55kW and 90kW. TG-R55 / TG-R90 are the first onboard electrical gensets dedicated to the hybrid-electric aircraft industry.

THE 1st AIRBORNE ELECTRICAL PLANT

  • A high performance turbine fitted with an integrated annular exchanger recovering the energy contained in the exhaust gases.
  • A very high power density electric generator directly coupled to the turbine shaft.
  • A power electronic converter supplying direct current.

ENABLING LONG-RANGE ELECTRIC FLIGHT

  • The highest power to weight ratio, compared to any other electricity storage technology : a 115 kg TG-R55 system (engine + fuel) carries the same energy as 1000 kg of Lithium-Ion batteries.
  • Turbogenerators TG-R55 / TG-R90 generate electric power onboard and paves the way to hybrid-electric architectures. Used in conjunction with batteries, it can offer up to 10 times more range than a full-electric plane.
